Epsom Community Patrol
About Us
Epsom Community Patrol serve as extra ‘eyes and ears’ for the New Zealand Police in Auckland’s central suburbs—Epsom, Parnell, Newmarket, Remuera, Mt Eden and Greenlane.
Keeping our community safe and secure. We are a dedicated group of volunteers committed to creating a safer and more secure environment in our vibrant community.
What we do
At Epsom Community Patrol, we use strategic collaboration with local police to identify focal points requiring heightened attention, freeing up their resources for the important stuff.
- Risk Mitigation: Addressing anti-social behavior by maintaining a visible presence, and adhering to a risk-averse intelligence and observation approach focused on prevention first.
- Surveillance Enhancement: Committing to preventative measures by increasing the risk associated with offending. Elevating levels of surveillance enhances the likelihood of deterring offenders or detecting criminal activities through gathered intelligence.
- Mobile and Foot Patrols: Our volunteers conduct both mobile and foot patrols, using a marked patrol car and wearing hi-visibility vests.
- Fit for Purpose Policy: We ensure all Patrollers are fit for purpose, capable of keeping themselves and others safe through commitment to mandatory training and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Code of Conduct: Uphold values of professionalism, trust, respect, and service. Observe New Zealand laws, act responsibly with confidential information, and maintain high standards of behaviour.
